こどもの日・・もうすぐ・・歩く！？/ Children's day... Almost...walking!?

今日は、日本ではこどもの日です。調べて初めて詳しく知ったのですが、「こどもの人格を重んじ、こどもの幸福をはかるとともに、母に感謝する」がこどもの日の趣旨らしいです。サラも元気で、すくすく成長してくれることを祈るばかりです。・・そしてサラは成長をまた遂げています。最近、何歩か歩くようになりました。しっかり歩けるようになるのももうすぐ！？かな？ ＊こどもの日にちなんで玄関先には、かぶとの飾りをしてあります。お友達のお母さんが作ってくれ、日本に帰った際にいただきました。とってもかわいいです＆うれしいです！！アメリカにいても、日本の文化もサラには知ってもらいたいものです。 Today is Children's day in Japan(May,5). This holiday set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness. We hope Sarah's good health and grow. ...and Sarah is growing. Sarah start walking 4.5 steps and more day by day. Maybe she can walk pretty soon! * We have the picture at the entrance due to Children's day. My friend mom made this for us. It is very pretty and nice! We would love Sarah to know both American and Japanese culture.

日本へ（後半） / To Japan (Last half)

１ヶ月もあると思っていた日本への帰省だったけど、あっという間に時間は過ぎてしまった。家族に会い、友達に会い、おいしいものを食べて本当に楽しい１ヶ月だった。前回の帰国は３年前だったというのにみんなに変わらず温かく迎え入れてもらって私たちは幸せものだわ！来年に帰るのがまた楽しみです！

Time goes so fast. We had a great time seeing our family, friends and had a good foods and 1 month passed so fast. we are so lucky that everybody welcomed us so nicely even though we haven't seen them 3 years. We are looking forward to seeing them again sometime soon.

日本へ（前半） / To Japan (First half)

現在日本へ帰省中です (3/20-4/21) １カ月の滞在ですが、あっという間に半分過ぎてしまいました。最初は人見知りだったサラも家族にも慣れてきて、そして時差ぼけももうなくなったようで元気にしています。Ｍｏｍｍｙは、久々に家族に会ってそしておいしいご飯を毎日食べ、たくさんの友達に会い、あったかぁーいお風呂に入り毎日楽しく過ごしています。Ｄａｄｄｙがいればもっといいのに、最初の10日間で仕事の為もうシアトルに帰ってしまいました。

＊何度かカメラを忘れたので残念・・・

We are currently in Nagoya ,Japan for vacation. It is a month vacation but first half has already passed. Time goes so fast.

Sarah is doing good. She got used to my family, Japan and got over get lag and having good time. Daddy came first 10 days but he is already home and waiting for us to come back. We wish he could be here with us.

*We forgot to take camera with us a couple times.....

聖パトリックの祝日 / St. Patrick's Day

今日は朝、Daddyに”今日は聖パトリックデイhttp://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E8%81%96%E3%83%91%E3%83%88%E3%83%AA%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%81%AE%E7%A5%9D%E6%97%A5だから緑の服を着せるんだよ”って言われ、サラも緑の服を着ています！もちろん、Daddyも緑の服をしっかり着ていきました！Mommyも着ます！

Daddy told mommy that "Today's St. Patrick's Day so we wear green clothes so Sarah wear green clothes :) Of course Daddy wore and Mommy too :)

９ヶ月検診 / 9 months check up

このスカーフサラのお気に入りだよ。Daddyのお母さんが編んでくれたんだ！She loves this cute skirf which Mama Sandi made for her! It is very warm! Thank you Mama Sandi!

マミーがこの箱持たせてくれたのー、だからすっごくうれしのー！Mommy let me hold this box for me so she was so happy!!!

やったー！　Yeah!!!

今日は、朝から９ヶ月検診に行ってきました。身長 70.5 cm (48%) 、体重 7.39 kg (10%)、頭位 43.5 cm (35%) 、(　)の中は、全体の何％にあたるか。あまりにもたくさん動きまくるせいか、たくさん食べるのに細身のようだ。サラ、これからもっと食べてね。

＊ビデオは昨夜、Daddyが学校に行っていて、帰ったらサラが寝てしまってるのでとったものです。

We went to 9 months check up this morning. Hight 27 3/4 inch (48% ), Weight 16. 4 3/4Lb (10%) , Head circumference 43 1/2 cm (35%) . She moves a lot so she is very light even though she eats a lot. Please eat more Sarah!!

* Attched video was taken last night for Daddy. He was in school and can only see sleeping Sarah when he comes back. ( Mommy was talking about she mess holding clothes many times ><>

ひな祭り #2 / Hinamatsuri #2

今日は、日本人の女の子のいるママ友に誘われてひな祭りをした。ポットラックPartyだったので、私はポテトサラダを作っていきました。お友達と遊んでサラも楽しかったようです。

We were invited Hinamatsuri party. It was potluck party so I made a poteto salad. She played with other kids and had a good time.

ひな祭り / Hinamatsuri

３月３日はひな祭り、当日はDaddyが学校でみんなでご飯が食べれないので１日早い＆日本時間のお祝いをやりました。サラは、ひなまつりのご飯（トマトとほうれん草のリゾットと納豆バナナMIX）そしてひし形に切ったさつまいもです。Mommyたちのご飯はちらし寿司です。サラは楽しんでくれたかなぁー？今年は、この小さな雛人形だけど、写真のひな人形をMommyのお父さんお母さんがサラのために買ってくれたので、また来年が今から楽しみです！

March.3rd is Girls day in Japan called " Hinamatsuri" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinamatsuriy We wish Sarah's happy & healthy life. Daddy has school on the day so we did celebrate one day earlier which is Japanese March.3! Sarah had a special dinner (Tomato rizotto, Spinach rizotto, Sweet poteto, Tofu natto banana mix) and we had a Chirashizushi. We hope she had a good time. We have this small Hinaningyo this year but Mommy's parents bought a real Hinaningyo for Sarah (picture) so we are looking forward to celebrate with this next year!
